After few years hiding, and building another business. It's finally the time to be fully back working on my business and serving entrepreneurs. I didn’t always enjoy being in front of the camera to promote my business.
In fact, it wasn’t all that long ago that I had to suffer from a bad acne and I gained weight.
Those days were a sad period. I can still remember what it felt like to imagine people judging my skin because it was a disaster, it is still a work in progress.
Some days I just wanted to give up, and hide forever. And all of that was during the lockdown and years after. And it’s at that time that I decided things needed to change. So I made the decision to stop hiding, and show up for my business.
It wasn’t easy.
It’s at that point that I realised that all of these other things going on in my life, weren’t really obstacles at all.
They were excuses.
And the only real obstacle I had was to get over my negative thinking patterns and start believing that I Am A Wonderful Creature Of God.
Now don’t get me wrong, I still needed to do a lot of other work in order to build my confidence back and grow my business.
I studied in Videography, Social Media Marketing and Web Designing. I talked to others who’d accomplished the same goal. And I learned a whole lot about getting over imposter syndrome and find clients simply through the process of trial and error.
I stopped procrastinating and start getting over my fear of failure.
How? By starting to take away negative talk. Proverbs 15:4 “Gentle words bring life and health; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.”
Listen, I know it’s hard to grow your business online, create and launch your website and be consistent on social media especially if you overthinking it. However, I'm back spite of having many obstacles. And I just know that if I can do it, then you can too.
Go ahead and try it – you might just surprise yourself!
Don't forget that you can might loose a lot of opportunities if you don't have a website or if you don't have a presence on social media with engaging visual content!
